About PEP
Why do you use coaching and not
simply classroom training?
Coaching is what translates knowledge into
action. Coaching over the three or so sessions is what permits the permanent behavioural
change - which produces the lasting gains. In the case of Time Management,
a large number of one day courses are available from many training companies.
Their impact is limited. They offer many good tips and solutions, but only a small
proportion of these is ever implemented when you get back to the work place. And
ironically, to implement them takes time, so you tend only to use the easy to
do, often trivial tips. More importantly, without the opportunity for 'one
to one' dialogue about the specific relevance to you, your personality, your particular
situation and environment, you don't get the quality of gain that is sustainable.
You have the additional factor of personal state - how you feel.
You often feel good in a classroom situation, slightly removed from the stresses
of day to day demands. When you return to work you re-associate with the feelings
of work in that particular environment and you respond accordingly, whether you
like it or not. (A full In Box, frequent interruptions, lengthy meetings, missed
deadlines, general overload, are prime mood changers). When you apply the remedies
in the workplace itself, you change your associative response patterns too. As
you gain better control, you simply feel better and therefore respond better.
In fact, most individuals report a 24% reduction in workplace stress - without
ever addressing it directly as a subject on the programme. (See the Programme
Benefits Chart). How can I measure the results for my company?
We
work with you at the outset to identify and to set metrics for the programme.
We advise you undertake a suitable pilot test across relevant user groups before
any company-wide or large team initiative is undertaken. We have our own generic
indicators of progress too, like the Benefits Chart below. We would need to identify
the specific outputs that you want for your situation. | |

USA Today reported on June 26, 2001 that employees spend an average of 49 minutes
a day on e-mail - 35% more than they did the year before. - Printing volumes
have increased 40% since the advent of e-mail; 60% of e-mails are printed
out. |
What does it cost?
You
can commission several modules and combinations, including a 'train the trainer'
version, but the average cost is £250.00 per head per day. Pilot programmes
and senior executive groups are more expensive whilst a 'train the trainer'
accreditation, depending on numbers, can average £90.00 per
head inclusive of materials (CD Rom and manuals). We'll quote an exact
price when we know
your specific requirements. Is the programme updated
and are attendees supported after the sessions are over? Yes,
we are constantly updating. The programme came into being when fax machines were
a novelty and when paper, faxes and memos overwhelmed most managers in most offices.
As Knowledge Workers, we now have to contend with open plan environments, paper,
e-mails, voice mails, cell phones, network drive filing, personal electronic filing,
project execution software and the old file cabinets too. Some of our updates
include coaching and tips on Microsoft Outlook and other applications - if their
use will make a difference to your efficiency.Programme graduates can e-mail us
for help with queries or problems - without time limit - after completing the
programme, if they need to. What sort of experience
do your coaches have?
Your lead coach can have up to 15 years experience
coaching PEP in a wide variety of multi-national companies (or UK FTSE). All current
lead coaches have over 5 years experience with this and similar programmes.
They also share best practice with each other.

In all, 53% of women and 41% of men admit that they feel overcome by stress.
However, the more that employees see that their employer is actively trying
to reduce tension in the workplace, the less stress they experience. |
